imageAfter six long years in the division having never challenged for a world title, Cruz finally got his chance when he fought Gervonta Davis for the WBA Lightweight title. After a hard fought bout, Davis was awarded the decision victory though there are people that argue Cruz deserved the win.

Hall of Famers & World Champs Beaten (Names in bold are members of Top 100): Cocoa Kid; Johnny Jadick; Fritzie Zivic; Frankie Klick; Baby Arizmendi (2X); Tony Canzoneri (2X); Pedro Montanez; Henry Armstrong

imageBeterbiev is known for his thunderous punching power, which has led him to an undefeated record and a 100% KO rate (19 KOs in 19 fights). Bivol, on the other hand, has showcased his tactical brilliance and technical mastery inside the ring. His ability to outmaneuver opponents -- like Canelo -- and control the fight's pace has made him a formidable force.

11:49 p.m. ET: Heather Hardy is one tough cookie as she ends up going the distance with Amanda Serrano. She absorbed a lot of punishment but refused to go down. One particular sequence at the end of the 9th round saw the action stopped as blood streamed down her face. But Hardy slammed her gloves together and drew a tremendous ovation from the crowd. The 10th round was just an absolute slugfest as Hardy and Serrano threw punches nonstop for 120 seconds. A fantastic finish and even though Hardy won't get the win, who won over the crowd.

There is still opportunities for former Lightweight World Champion Jorge Linares, as well as Belfast’s own James Tennyson who is creeping up the rankings after stepping up from the Super-Featherweight division.

12:01 a.m. ET: The main event is up next and that means we're going to round-by-round coverage from here on out as Jake Paul and Nate Diaz will clash in a few moments. Oh, and Logan Paul has arrived in the arena to see his brother fight. He's also still wearing his ring gear from SummerSlam.

The super middleweight is one of the early boxing weight classes rankings established in the 1960s. Athletes fighting under this class must weigh 160 to 168 pounds. Some of the reigning champions in this class include Canelo Alvarez, Jesse Hart, and Demetrius Andrade.

First established by the New York Walker Law in 1920 as ‘junior flyweight,’ at a weight limit of 108 lbs, the junior flyweight division would soon be abolished, with no champion being given the title during that time.

Some of the greatest Cruiserweight boxers of all time include the likes of Oleksandr Usyk, Evander Holyfield, David Haye, James Toney, Johnny Nelson, Jean Marc Mormeck, Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Virgil Hill, Guillermo Jones and Juan Carlos Gomez.

Ryan Garcia holds at No. 7 following his win over Oscar Duarte, which I thought was a mixed-bag performance. Ryan admitting that the crappy shoulder roll was his own dumb idea was pretty funny, and ultimately he got the job done and in style.

11:29 p.m. ET: Heading into round four and it's clear that Heather Hardy isn't here to just cash a check. She's fighting back and has landed a few punches but Serrano's pinpoint accuracy and hand speed are overwhelming the Brooklyn fighter.

Speed is an important aspect of any sport. Being able to move faster than your opposition can react is a surefire key to victory whether you’re playing non-contact sports such as football or tennis, but…

Early forms of the middleweight divison sprouted up in the 1800s. The first official middleweight limit was marked at 154 lbs in 1909. Due to a US law called Walker’s Law, the limit was raised to 160 lbs.

4. Billy Joe Saunders (26-0) England's Saunders made his second title defense against Willie Monroe Jr., who previously had been drilled by Gennady Golovkin in a world title fight, on Sept. 16. Saunders won a unanimous decision in a dreadful fight. But on Dec. 16, Saunders traveled to the Quebec home turf of former titlist and mandatory challenger David Lemieux and put on an absolute clinic in a one-sided unanimous decision to retain his belt for the third time and set himself up for a possible fight against the expected May 5 rematch between Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez. Next: TBA

9:35 p.m. ET: Curry managed to make it to the final bell so she gets the moral victory but it's Green and her power punching that take the decision. Green what is the highest division in boxing going to be a problem for a lot of women but it will be interesting to see if he can reach the upper crust of the super middleweight division.

Alexis Argüello, spanning from 1952 to 2009, is a revered figure in the world of boxing, celebrated for his remarkable technical proficiency and precision. As a three-division world champion, Argüello displayed his mastery of the sweet science, leaving an indelible mark on the sport and inspiring generations of fighters. Argüello’s boxing IQ was nothing short of exceptional. He possessed a unique ability to read his opponents, anticipate their movements, and flawlessly execute his own strategy. His punches were delivered with surgical precision, consistently finding their mark with unfailing accuracy. His meticulous approach to the craft made him a tactician of the highest order.
