Boxing is widely considered to be one of the sports that has been around the longest and is the most dangerous. Even though there have been professional fights going on for more than a century, the sport is more popular than ever right now. People will always enjoy watching two combatants go at it and punch each other in the face, even if it’s just for entertainment. That is something that may be appreciated by people from many walks of life.

Matchroom Boxing USA DAZN promoter Eddie Hearn thinks Andrade is going to win the WBO title, and then use the belt to get fights against the likes of Canelo and Golovkin, but I’m not so sure. Canelo and GGG aren’t going to want to go after Andrade if it means that there’s no money in the fight. Perhaps if Andrade creates a huge amount of buzz with his win over Kautondokwa, they might consider fighting him, but right now, I’d say that’s a long shot. Andrade wasn’t popular when he was fighting at 154 lb boxing division, and that’s probably not going to change now that he’s at 160, coming off of 12 month layoff and fighting a little known fighter named Kautondokwa.

In February 2023, USA Boxing announced its decision to boycott the 2023 World Championships (organized by the International Boxing Association) where Russian and Belarusian athletes will compete with no restrictions, also accusing the IBA of attempting to sabotage IOC-approved qualification pathway for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Poland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Ireland, Czechia, Sweden and Canada later joined the U.S. USA Boxing co-founded World Boxing as a direct rival to the IBA, and it was launched in April 2023.

The super bantamweight division has a weight limit of 122 pounds. Also known as the junior featherweight division, super bantamweight wasn’t adopted by the main boxing sanctioning bodies until the 1970s.

A boxer who is over the weight limit may strip naked to make the weight if the excess is minimal; otherwise, in a professional bout, one can try again later, typically after losing weight in the interim through dehydration by vigorous exercise in a steam room. If the excess weight is too great, the effort expended trying to "make weight" will make the boxer unfit for the fight itself. In such cases the fight may be cancelled with the over-weight boxer sanctioned or the fight may proceed as a catchweight non-title fight.

Jack Catterall is #1 in junior welterweight for now. Besides that, we saw Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall fight on March 4th, 2023 and that was great again. So, he stays strong in the Super welterweight rankings boxing. But his crown in the Boxing light welterweight rankings is claimed by the wild Teofimo Lopez, who recently made his debut in the division.
