Now I absolutely understand the advantages of the democracy we have. I discovered that in academic year earlier. However what they didn't teach us was that a democracy has its drawbacks.

We continuously hear from the President and his fellow Republicans that there would be horrendous repercussions if we withdrew from Iraq. OK. What repercussions? Here's my guess on what would happen if we left Iraq tomorrow. There would be a blood-bath civil war in between the Shiites, Sunnis, former Saddam's Bathe celebration militia, Al Qaida terrorists, Iranian moles, and a dozen other fanatical groups, all at each others' throats. It would be like another Palestine, where Fatah and Hamas terrorist groups are now at each other's throat for power.

But my major concern seems to be with the loss of sight of lots of who for their own reasons refuse to see what is happening in front of their own eyes. If your Democrat or Republican, I do not care. We are losing our rights so the government can please the few. Or do as it wants. Did when did the country of "FREE Speech" get to the point where the government cracks down on you if you post the American flag in your workplace.
