Do Not Blame Me For Being Born In America
Description

We could use part of the hundreds of billions of dollars we save to hunt down Al Qaeda terrorists all over the world if we left Iraq now. They were the original and still worst danger to our security. We might also develop a high wall in between us and Mexico to stay out Middle-East terrorists, and pay for surveillance devices at airports and all our harbors to examine every plan and container coming in.

imageKindly jump back to the connection in between the SAT and AP US Government for the rest of our time together. Refresh my memory. What were the 4 possible elements? Reading, studies, experiences, or observation. Reading? Check. You do your research and classwork. Studies? Yep. Covered by reading. Experiences? Let's see. You held an election in your class to choose "vice president." (The instructor is, by default, president in this situation. However you understand of the procedure.) There are judicial, legislative, and executive branches in your classroom democracy. You experience AP United States Government every day. Observation? You observe in your household, on your school campus, What Is The Difference Between Plutocracy And Democracy and in your community how these branches function (albeit on a much smaller scale) daily.

Examine this out. Like it or not, the SAT does have a writing component with numerous option questions and an essay. The essay can be about anything; reading, research studies, experiences, or observation. Then it clicks. Your instructor stated something about 'living a democratic federal government in the classroom.' That would incorporate all four possible parts. You will read, research study, experience, and observe for a whole year. Let's face it. In America, pretty much anything can be looked at through a political lens. Music magnates have their manufacturer as their president. Pro professional athletes have their coach and the team's owner. Teachers have their principal. Physicians have their director. Kids have their mother.

If we had genuine democracies, individuals would make the decisions on any policy of federal government. It would be the individuals as legislators?and enforcers, by the way. But that doesn?t go far enough either. If we truly had a democracy, that is, a system of government responsive to the desires of individuals, then an authorities would need to use a device that would track what the individuals want. And when a majority is reached either to do an act or not do it, the official would need to either do it or stop doing it depending. Which would hold true even to the level of what is stated or not said. The will of the individuals would rule if the individuals do not want a specific authorities to use a particular word. Vox populi, vox dei. The dreams of individuals are the only thing that matters.

Then what takes place when this brand-newsecular or Islamic totalitarian is in power? He will not disrupt our oil supply (which is all we reallycare about), due to the fact that oil is the only thing that keeps these Middle-East countries from coming down timocracy, ochlocracy, autocracy meaning, kleptocracies, plutocracy game back into the Middle Ages. It is their only resource. Did Saddam cut off our oil? Does Iran stop offering us oil, even though they hate our guts? Do they want to lose their billions of dollars in income? I don'tthink so.

What I want are policies that develop a pattern towards the views that I hold but regulated by views that are different from mine. And as we learn What is the difference between Plutocracy And democracy works and what does not, we remedy course or push ahead. And even if it is as obvious as daylight that we are on the ideal track with any policy, it is not always an excellent concept to ram your rightness down anybody's throat.

Pre Democratic forms of rule existed in variuos countries eg. Mesopotamia, India, Sparta, Athens, Rome, Indian Native individuals of North and South Americas. The earliest kind of modern-day democracies established in Greece following an uprising in 508 BC in Greece. The word democracy is stemmed from a greek word which means 'Rule of individuals'.

In the words of former President John Quincy Adams, "Always elect concept, though you might vote alone, and you might value the sweetest reflection that your vote is never ever lost".
